Did you find one other than from Ford?

For the ~$70 shipped a new one costs from Tasca, that is the way I would go. It is not worth the effort or the risk to try and get one out of a junkyard. Part number 1L2Z9D477CA.

I ordered one from Ford. Due to my affiliation with local shops I got it for $90, but $70 would have been better. I'll bolt it onto the new motor when it gets here Thursday.

Any hints on taking out/putting in?

i had to heat up the big nut on the exhaust manifold and big crescent wrench to get that off. up here we get a lot of rust and the valve is rusted onto the tube, i'd imagine in FL you don't have much of that problem.

Well I should just say taking it out. I won't be putting one back in. As there are no emissions checks in Florida is not illegal to remove mine. I will be putting a different version of one on eventually. However for now it's just being removed.

Just get a egr delete kit if i remember right they are pretty cheap...if they dont specifically make them for explorers get a mustang one...thats what i did on my mustang when i put my built motor in. It dosent affect anything

I know. Have the intake plate and header cap already. Just need to figure out how to bypass my DPFE until I get my tuner in a few weeks... I want to keep the EGR tube though so I just need to make sure I'm careful when taking it out, and be prepared to swear a lot...
