I've had this since 05, run completely normal for a couple months then went downhill. First starting Idling funny (goes up to 1500 down to 500)-back and forth. It stalled on me one day, so my dad and I changed the spark plugs. Then a sensor was fried so my dad changed that for me. He noticed that my engine bay is hotter then it should be so he put stuff around the wires so it doesn't melt them like it did the sensor. So I been dealing with the idling for a few years but it never gave me any problems. Within the last year it will now start making this high pitched buzzing noise, which is really annoying and no one knows what it is. Then the last couple of days, it started idling rougher, stalling on me, wanting to turn over but heisting(sp). Then pushing the gas petal to go it goes sooo slow and keeps making this misfiring or backfiring sound, not too sure what it is. I did go to AutoZone for them to scan it and it came back EGR Value, 02 Sensor, Difficutal (sp), and Vacuum leak. The guy said putting a oil cap on will make the vacuum leak go away, so I got one... and the problem is still there. Unfortunally at the moment I have zero bucks, so I'm not too sure what I can do to fix this problem. Any ideas, Pleaseee!

You need to post the code numbers for us to see.

The idle problem could be the Idle air control. Try cleaning it and see if that helps.

i worked on removing the egr to clean it today, but when it came to the nut it wouldn't come off. i tried every wrench in the tool chest and they all failed miserably. no room for the wrench, even if it were to fit. anyone know the exact size? i might have to get a crows foot attachment or some ****?

i forget what the exact size is, but one tip i can give you, use a good penetrating oil or release oil. lots of it but not all at once. mine was a ***** to get off. i soaked it for almost 2 days before it broke free.

So I asked my uncle to come over, and he did to take a look at it since he's works on cars. He did a bit looking around, and found a Vaccum hose ripped. He say it's not a big issue right now, but will need to be replaced in the future. Come to find out, there is no fuel getting to the engine sooo with that he is going to change the fuel filter since he saw it's starting to rust. He say hopefully that will help, if not... the fuel pump will need to be changed. He say the EGR valve can wait a little bit too. I'll keep you guys updated

I got my EGR off by removing the front driver side tire and going through the wheel well. Just pull back the splash guard and you'll have great access.
