Elbe Hills June 2nd-4th

I was going to say something about the rain :D it will be snoty if it does not let up, I think it is suppose to be like this till saturday afternoon???
Are you going to be running your IROK's? there should be only 1 spot where I will need to pull cable. Did you get that winch? If you did not just have a hook on the front so if needed I can give you a tug

No, I put the 36 back on. Deal is still on hold for the winch. I dont know if I want to run the busy, maybe try a few of the other trails, I have only been on the busy up there, isnt it the most difficult?

The XJ extraction was put on hold,so those guys are just going to be running the trails. We don't have to run the busy, the other trails we be somewhat challenging with all this rain we got last night

I did not get to wheel the explorer very long, at the top of the Sunrise trail was a small group of rocks where my front right outer shaft on my D44 decided to seperate
Later on I came across a gelatin mass that I am hoping someone will know what it is???

After my explorer went down, we took it back to camp and headed out in James Landcruiser on the easy trails, this was the first time I have been in a SWB vehicle on the trails.
These pictures are of James Landcruiser, the first couple pictures are the same location where I busted my axle. We ended up winching James the last little bit of the trail, we had to use a snatch block because when I tried to back up in front of him I got spun my rear tires (locked and just a slight incline). there was a point when I was winching him forward that James was extremely close to flopping on his side, he was stuck to his seat for a minute or two and gas was spilling out the tank

I came home early, I have 2 vehicles to work now  so on the way home "needing to having a little more fun" I had a tire go out on my trailer

Sooner or later, maintenance catches up to you.

I have no idea what the jelly stuff is, anyone else?

I have no clue what the jelly mass is, but Shiloh and I have seen them before in really wet weather...I have no idea though. It looks unnatural, but after having seen a couple smaller clumps in different locations I think it is a natural occurence.

I have found this stuff at home stuck to the windsheild of the wifes van and on the motorhome

look at the photo I snapped the shaft :D

You are right Joe, those rock are alot bigger in person. I started to pull my front shaft off today and discovered that the ear of it was broken. Where can I order a new shaft?

I have got my shafts made at "the u-joint" in Chehalis.(360-748-4411) but now that the explorer is pretty much for the trail, if I need to do driveshaft work in the future I will do it myself.

Yes, that swamp trail is SUPER NASTY. Its a nonstop run almost all the way through, and the water is pretty deep. I want to go first... :D :D

Joe, Shiloh says that she thinks the gelatinous masses may be the remains of decaying Mushroom clusters. But she is not positive

But I have found some on my windsheilds????

Momma just bought me a new set Yukon axles for the front and a set of yukon super joints  :D

Sweet, I am having a Dana 44 swaped into the cruiser with a locker and crossover steering. So when is the next run??
