Electric boat wench wiring help please.

I have a 2007 Explorer sport trac with a ClassIII towing package. My trailer is all set with an adapter from round to flat and everything works great.

My problem is with an electric boat wench I have installed drawing between 24 and 28 amps. The cigarette socket installed in the beds rear is fused at 20amps and I am afraid I will sart blowing fuses if I hook up to that?

Is there a 30amp pin I am not using on the round receptical (aux) that I can tie into to power the wench? Maybe go from 4 wire flat to 5 wire flat?

Or will I have to run a new wire all the way to the battery to get the 30amps required to power the wench?

Thank you in advance
John

They make aftermarket plugs that go into the 7 pin plug on the back of the truck with a cigarette plug in it. That should work fine. If you plan to use it a whole lot, I'd consider a 10 or 8 gauge wire from the battery to the back with a 40A fuse.
