I would be surprised if that would be enough, especially considering where you live. I ran a single fan for a little while and ended up going back to the clutch fan because the truck always ran on the edge of overheating.
Just to be safe I am going to install two of the torqflo 16" fans on the torflo fan controller. I am going to put one pushing in the ac condenser and the other pulling through the radiator.
On this subject - I have been thinking of doing this as well. Would 2 x 12" fans side by side with a flow rate of, say, 1500CFM each be OK, or does it need each fan to be up around the 2500 to 3000CFM mark?
I installed one of the 16"s today. It is amazing how it stays cool with just one of the 16"s pulling through the radiator. Just to be safe I am going to put a 12" pusher. I would have had a 16" in front as well but, there are some clearance issues.
I used a 2 fan setup from a tarus sho. It's a 12 in and a 10 in fan, the 12in turns on first then the 10 in will kick in when it hit's the high set point on the controller. It never get's that warm though even in Phoenix, AZ.
