Gotta ask bc in some parts of the country/world, ‘crank’ means to rotate the engine with the starter, and in others, ‘crank’ or ‘crank up’ means to start and run in a self-sustaining manner. The fact that you’re saying it would ‘crank’ with starter fluid makes me think it’s the latter.

Please define crank so we can help

Ok it would run on starter fluid currently it won’t turn over

97 maybe?

First, make sure the battery is fully charged. How old is the battery?

You replaced the cable terminals/clamps? How do the wires leading to them look—the actual copper. Corroded or clean?

On my 5.0, I had a loose battery terminal that would do weird **** like this. Turn the key to on, everything would light up. Try to start it? Click, everything goes dead for 10-15 minutes.

You need to start at the battery and work step by step toward the components. Also, check the negative cables and grounds
