On a cold startup, the electric fan is often engaged & sounds as though the car could take flight. Half a block along the street, it de-energizes and all is well. That's not far enough into engine warm-up for it to be temperature related, and I'm told that it means that coolant is low. Engine is a 4.6 L V-8. Any thoughts ?

No electric fan at V8 and no low coolant sensor as well.

Check fan clutch forscan lock PIDs readings.suspect bad fan clutch harness and the clutch itself
