2001 Ford Explorer XLT
Hello everyone. My name is skyguy, and I have an 01' Explorer xlt. The first issue I am having is my low beam head lights stopped working, so I tried putting in a new multi function switch in it and that didn't work, so then I checked all the fuses/relays they all work but after I did that the "theft" light now flashes when I try to start it and now it won't start any ideas? Please help me ASAP, it is my only vehicle for now and I work 40 miles from home and need it to start so I can get there in the morning
Thank 6th to all that have an idea and I hope I can help someone soon

Sky,
The multi-function switch caused problems with my lights also. My problem turned out to be the wiring harness on top of the steering column. Tilting the wheel was pulling on the connector and disconnecting one of the wires.

Remove the cover on top of column and you'll see the connector - tilt wheel up and down. Solution for me was to cut the tape holding harness down so it cold move a little bit when column tilted. Once it's free to move grab it with needle-nose pliers and make sure it will slide easily up and down with the column. Then I simply has to re-seat the loose wire in the connector and apply some super glue to hold it in place.
