Electrical Problems 2004 Explorer

While driving down the road at 65 mph, all the lights (ALL the lights) went out. After changing the light switch to manual, the lights came back on including the panel lights.Then the speedometer and odometer started jumping and then quit. In the am after moving the fuses, everything worked (i also disconnected the battery).....BUT what caused this. In the dark this is terrifying not to have any lights at all.

You may want to check the switch to see if it's acting up. If your switch is on it's way out it could cause these type of symptoms.
