Electrical problems, Help!

This morning I went out to go to school, and when I unlocked the door and opened up my x, the anti theft went off, well when I turned the key to shut it off, it went off, and came back on a few seconds later, repeat, didn't come back on. When I use the electric control to unlock the doors, the horn honks, and the headlights flash on, it also unlocks the door as it's supposed to. I didn't want to drive it to school because of fear of making things worse, but I had to. The radio works, electric seat works, didn't try cruise, everything works. I did smell a little burning smell mid drive, everything still works though. When I shut off the truck and opened the door, the Anti Theft went off again. I disconnected the battery before I came in class.

anti theft module is probably going bad. Really the only was to test this is to get a good module and swap it in. My books only tell how to diagnose inoperative stuff.

Try a junkyard. I would think any ford with antitheft may use the same module. Try to match part numbers but more importantly, match the connectors to yours. They most likely will work.
