1995 ford explorer 4.0 cranks won't start, died a few times, had to have towed home. changed computer, coil and crankshaft positioning sensor. Have power at coil / distributor plug, does not flash on the 3 negative terminals when cranking over. Does not show the 1.5 volts at the crankshaft p. sensor plug either. I am at wits end, and can't afford and garage bill, so need to get some help

The Iginition control module I have does not seem to look like the one showed in the manul. It is behind the battery, on the fender well. About 22 or so plugs, and only have power to one of those terminals

any help out there? Thanks so much

i have this same problem i have a short somewhere and dont know how to find it

got it running yesterday

I also sprayed wd-40 in various wire plugs including the iginition control module wires, blew out with compressed air, put everything back together, and it runs. Not much help, cause I may still have probelms later, but praying it is it and no short

Good luck

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the stock 95-01 section. Ignition related troubleshooting was performed, but was any troubleshooting performed on fuel system related parts (fuel pump or PCM relays, inertia switch, fuel filter, pressure regulator, etc)?
