Changed the tranny fluid today with synthetic....hoped that would cure my shifting problem...It still doest want to shift into 3rd until it gets warmed up....usually 3 miles down the road...can it be one of the 2 things I listed in the heading....aanyone that can help I would appreciate it...Thank you....

welcome to the site..The vacuum diaphram is easy to check, just pull the line of the rear..if there is ANY fluid in the line then it's bad, the shift module should so up on a code scan..But to be honest, it sounds like either the pump or the valve body..Check it vacuum first as it is the easiest and least expensive..Good luck..

Thank you for your input...I will try the vacuum!!!...Have a good one....

I just got my trans from the shop after a rebuild.... It was doing the exact same thing.. They told me that it was the govenor,, nevertheless they had to replace it under warranty.. It still kinda does it in the morning,, but only for about the first or second shift,, after that it is fine..
