Hey there. I just wanted to introduce myself and lose that mesasge
.
I bought an 00 Mounty about a year ago with the intent of jacking it up & realized there were a lot of limitations to the AWD for a guy with my limited skill set. So I just traded it to my dad for his 92 Explorer and a little cash. Now I have a 4 door 92 with a 5 spd that I plan on building up. The body is shot but I have my entire game plan set on how I plan to fix it and mod it up.
I found this forum as it came to the top of my internet searches for Explorer questions time and time again. I've already started a file with all of the helpful links I'm going to use for everything from replacing rocker panels to installing next gen seats. I'm consistently blown away by how much info I can find just by digging around. It's refreshing to see guys who have actually dealt with these cars in a real world setting as opposed to dealer mechanics who oftentimes end up charging me $80 an hour to experiment.
Keep up the good work and hope I can become a contributing member as well!
