Wish I could be signing someone else's name, but how do I replace the courtesy dome light bulb in my '01 Explorer. Got the lens off, the bulb retainer LOOKS to turn for release, but I've applied pressure up to the point I fear it will break. What am I missing here? Thanks for any pointers.

hmmm i believe you pull em straight out since the bases are flat and not round like older bulbs.

Might have to move em from a side to side a bit to get them to release too but they should pull straight out tho.

You should be embarrassed to be asking :) Man, forget about that... get the bulb out. Look at it closely, and take your time with it. Wear a glove just in case it breaks... don't be embarrassed.

Well, I guess I'll try pulling instead of twisting. Aint going down in flames over a light bulb.......

Stitches, be careful. If you get the thing removed, please post it. Thanks! :)
