Embarassed to be asking...........

Wish I could be signing someone else's name, but how do I replace the courtesy dome light bulb in my '01 Explorer. Got the lens off, the bulb retainer LOOKS to turn for release, but I've applied pressure up to the point I fear it will break. What am I missing here? Thanks for any pointers.

hmmm i believe you pull em straight out since the bases are flat and not round like older bulbs.

Might have to move em from a side to side a bit to get them to release too but they should pull straight out tho.

You should be embarrassed to be asking Man, forget about that... get the bulb out. Look at it closely, and take your time with it. Wear a glove just in case it breaks... don't be embarrassed.
