Hey everyone
My Emergency Brake Light on the dash comes on every time i start my 92 X. The Emergency Brake is not on either.
It just started doing that a couple months ago. and its really starting to bug me.
Anyone know how I can kix this, or attempt to fix it?
Has anyone has the same problem?

Have you checked the fluid level in the master cylinder? If it is low it will trigger this light to warn you of possible brake system problems. If it is necessary to fill the resivor I recomend having the brakes inspected, as you more than likely have a leak somewhere.

Double-check your M/C reservoir level, but also check and see if the switch on the pedal came loose... it happened in my 90 Ranger once... thought the brake was stuck, when all it was was the mounting nut on the switch had backed off and the button of the switch was no longer ligned up with the pedal. I think that was the easiest fix I ever had on that truck!

i'll check out the switch on the pedal.
