Your Help appreciated

Intake Gaskets or Sensors My 2000 XLT has engine codes that say I need to replace all the oxygen sensors. I was told there are 4 of them on the V6 engine, but can only find 3. When I called the Ford dealer I was told it's not the sensors, but the intake gaskets ??? Help which is it and how many sensors are there on a V6. Thanks to all and to all Happy Holidays.

hey man Merry Christmas

I am sure we can help you more if you shared the code with us. Often the O2's are merely the messenger. They might be fine.
Tell us the code and how the vehicle is acting.

The title on this one will yeild more results. I will close the other one, since there is no need to double post.

Thank You...I don't have the codes, the man at Autozone told me it was both banks of O2 sensors. When I first start it in cold weather it won't idle at all and after it warms up there is no problem. It runs great after that until the next morning when i try to let it run to warm up, just wont keep running.

yeah it sounds to me like the intake O rings. I am 98% sure on that one. There was a recall on that at one point.
I am not sure of the number. The intake O rings being bad WILL have an effect on both banks, thus the readings.
The folks at Auto-Zone are at an Auto-Zone for a reason, I will let that be that.
Search intake O rings it is a pretty common issue.
Good luck and let me know if you need any thing else.

Thank you for the information...Merry Christmas

You are quite welcome.
Merry Christmas back at ya.
