Engine Combo

I have a idea. Most of you probally have had the same but im new to the explorer game. Im switching my stangs combo and instead of selling the old parts i want to put them on my mountineer. I will be trying to use a frpp gt40 tublar intake with the lower ported and gt40x heads and a e303 cam. I know to use explorer heads on a stang you need new headders but what about stang heads to a explorer. Im gonna get the tourque monster headders to.

Any help would be great.

I believe that V8 Mountaineers already have GT40 heads on them. And so I would think that your ported intake would bolt right up. I've heard of GT40P heads but not GT40X.
I can tell I could learn something if the 302 guys start responding to this thread...

I don't know anything specific on the torque monsters. Do a search on the Torque Monster headers, I know they have been discussed A LOT, particularly with the 302 swaps that have gone on.

i did a search thats how i came up with using the torque monster headders, they are a must have on my combo. The gt40x is out of the ford racing parts alum head i currently run that on my stang but im stepping up to AFR 185's instead of selling them and getting a 1/4 of what i paid for them i want to just put them on the mountaineer that could use some extra kick i was gonna buy a e cam for it since they are dirt cheap. And use my tublar style gt40 upper and lower and sell the stock mountanieer manifold to put towards the holley systemmax II intake im want to use on the stang. I would also be swapping my 24lb injectors over to the truck since i will be using delphi 75's in the stang.
