I'm not trying to hide anything. .I told you I've never cleaned it.. picture a 97 5.0 thats never been cleaned.. and there you go...

ok I understand Dark it`s ok too you know , just want it to see some engine compartment and I saw some very very nice clean ons that make mine looks like I jus came out of a mud pit !

btw, yer engine compartment does look nice dan, your truck is in very nice condition for a 95. car maintanence is a full time job hehe, and it looks like you're really good at it.

yeah thak`s , well I try to nigociate time with the wife to make sure it look`s good and to prolong the life of it. But I can tell you that It`s the first time that I`am proud of my vehicle.

I've never cleaned my engine. But after working on it I guess it might not be a bad idea once in a while.

yeap a good claening job will make him happy !! ) but you know I know it sounds stupid but I feel my Ex is working better when it`s shinning !! poor wife..!! aahahah!

I've often wondered if having less.. junk on the engine could be better for it.. IE dispelling heat.. and stuff like that... but I'd rather have a dirty one that runs.. than a clean one with electrical problems.. all the cleaners say to bag your electronics before cleaning.. well the ODB II has sensors all over the engine.. so one technically could not bag them all.

your right but like I said arlier I never lean it with water , just a old cloth and some cleaning stuff.so non electrical prob.

Hey Crankcase, I'm with you! It's an old pic but looks pretty much the same except I recently cleaned the battery and terminals.

Like I said before, I'm afraid if I clean it, my power steering pump will start to leak again.

What's the best way to clean??

How do you guys clean the motor? I've thought about it and other than a steam job with some chemicals, I'm too lazy to take a rag and scrub the places and history of previous leaks.

I clean up what I can, but couldn't imagine spending that much time on it.
