I normally just spray a 50/50 solution of simplegreen/water on the motor (cool) let it sit for about 15 minutes then spray with the hose, repeat if needed. Then wait till the motor dries to start it up. Plastic looks good to me, maybe you could spray some of the tire wet or armorall on the hoses, but not sure how great that would smell once your started the motor or if its flammable.
