engine idle

I have a 99 Explorer XLT had it for 3 yrs. Thanks to this forum I've fixed a few problems within the 3 yrs mostly rough idling. I've installed the 00M12 kit, replaced the IAC, new plugs, plug wires, cleaned every sensor, throttle body, fuel filter, pcv O2 sensors used seafoam camshft tensioner with the 3 yrs. Now I have a slight rough idle, engines comes on but goes off after 30 seconds, it has shut down while idling at a stop sign, the rpm's are around 350 surges to 500 when idled. dealer will not be able to get to it within 4 days. not sure if the coil would have anything to do with the problem since the plugs & wires were changed because of engine code reading, Could there possibly be gaskets need replacing besides the 00M12 kit. Seems to getting worse by the day especially in the cold mornings around mid 30's any suggestions is greatly appreciated thanks

I just found out that when the temp. outside is below 32 degrees F, the engine light flashes 4-6 times. Could it be the intake gasket need replaced or could be I'll have to reinstall (00M12) kit again. I'm going to try new 2 forward O2 sensors first see if that helps any.

Steven, I'd hold off on the O2 sensors for now. If that's the MIL flashing, you've now got a code that's readable. I'd retrieve the code and see if it's a lean one on one bank or the other. This sounds like leaking intake gaskets again, because the trouble is at low ambient temps.

I went to Auto Zone and they've told me they couldn't read the flashing engine light, would have to be a steady CEL. I changed all 4 O2 sensors, replaced the new Bosch spark plugs with Motorcraft runs a whole lot smoother but still the flashing engine light in the cold mornings slight hesitations, after warming up settles down engine light is gone.
