Have a 2002 Sport Trac 4x4 4.0l w/little over 91000+ miles that just k.o'd at a stop light while idling. In attempting to start it again it just spins as if there's no compression, kind of like when the tb on my Honda went out.
I realize the Sport Trac 4.0 is chain driven, tho after speaking with a service rep from the nearest dealership I too agreed with the rep that timing chain breakage is rare. Tho he mentioned that sometimes just a bad sensor could be the problem and even cause a sound like there's no compression as if I have a broken timing chain.
Will someone help with some ideas ss to where I should start b4 I dig in deep n tear the engine apart.
