Engine light

Help
As I stated before I recently bought a 92 E. B. Explorer
We got the trans replaced as we were told it needed, the engine was rebuilt
just before we bought it.
My "check engine" light comes on, it does not stay on all the time,it comes on & may be on for several minutes & goes off.
Someone told me I may need to replace my 02 sensor.
Is this common problem when the light comes on on these trucks?
Any help appreciated. Thank you.

What did this person base his/her recommendation to replace the O2 sensor upon?

You need to determine what is triggering the CEL.

Welcome to the site....To get the CEL light checked, get a code scan done at autozone....
