engine oil cooler

hello to all i m new to the forum, i ve just purchased a 01' xlt explorer 4x4 4.0l . i just love the truck. i ve noticed it has a trans cooler and power steering cooler, but no engine oil cooler . was this an option for this truck and if possible can i put one on? if so i would perfer to use ford parts. thank you

I don't believe oil coolers have ever been used on Explorers. However, doesn't mean you can get one! Search around and see if you can find one online and then make it work on your Explorer.

You can easily install an oil cooler.
