I have a 91 explorer V-6 4.0L engine, and its pulling 6 inches of lift with 33's. I was wondering what my options are for each part that is under $300.

I would also change all fluids to synthetic.

The chip is designed to raise ignition timing to improve power. It will work with 5-speeds or automatics. On an automatic, you gain raised shift points. That is really the only difference. Since you shift yourself, your not missing out on anything.

have you heard anything about air flow sensors, or helix tower

I haven't used an aftermarket air sensor or the helix tower, but maybe someone who has will respond. I believe someone was in the process of installing a similar product to the helix tower.

There seems to be a split on the MAS. Many say that the stock MAS is large enough until you get past the simple bolt-ons (though I still run the stock MAS) and that you don't see very good gains from a larger unit on an almost stock motor. Then there are those that think it helped.

As for throttle body spacers, they don't do much at all for our trucks as the intake manifold is fairly large and it's runners don't benefit from the spacer.

can you run a helix tower and a tru-rev intake together

Yes you can run the intake kit and helix tower together, but the helix doesn't do squat.

Alec:
I've been super close to getting a MAF, but YOU didn't notice any gain? I was thinking of getting some sort of tube to keep the intake at a constant width, and to get rid of the bottleneck it has at the turn. So should I have gotten a bigger TB and MAF? Or are both pretty much good enough unlss I go for the S/C and headers (which I won't)?
Thanks,
Karl
