I have a 91 EB. Just turned over 200,000 miles. Any advice on rebuilding the engine or putting a whole new engine? Any recommendations on Las Vegas, NV shops to do the work?

fmarzan,

Mine just turned 196K and its original. I did have two heads crack in 99 but all else besides replaceables are original, including the tranny. After I finish some bodywork this summer I am considering a rebuilt engine from reconditionedengines.com . They had the best prices including shipping that I found for our years. If I were you, I would replace your injectors as well. And definitely go with synthetics once she is broken in. How long do you want to keep driving her? I want to make it to 300K since she is the work truck. I cant justify spending $20-30K for doing the same job mine does...

I say do a rebuild with vanir parts. It won't cost you much more than a normal rebuild and you're looking at probably 225 reliable horsepower. Their website is www.vanirtech.com
