Have any of you had this odd wooo/hoooo sound that comes from the right side glove box/engine bay area. It sounds very similar to when the IAC is going bad but i replaced it and the sound is still there.

Its specifically coming from the right side area and It does it at all rpms. Its not that weird radio hum you get either.

If it is engine resonance and there is a part going bad, what would cause the engine to have this odd sound? I dont hear it under the car or in the rear, or on the driver side. Basically right by the glove box but not sure if its actually in the glove box area or in the engine bay area. Like I said it resonates. New tires, bearings, in front. And i know what tire road noise sounds like and besides it does it when i first start it up in the morning and its super quiet out, thats when i can really hear it, but itll do it no matter what. Driving or idling.

I dont think its suspension. Anyone have this similar sound? It wasnt always like this so something isnt right.

Without hearing the noise, I couldn't tell you for sure. Guessing, I would say fan clutch or noisy power steering pump. You can check the pump by turning the wheel side to side when it's running and see if the noise changes. To check fan clutch turn your fan after the car has been running, you should feel stiffness in the fan blade.

Could be air in the heater core. Check and see if you have a vapor lock in your cooling system

You sure its from the engine? Not electrical feedback through stereo? Dealt with that a bunch...

Yes. It doesnt necessarily get higher with rpm like the stereo noise will. Its just a slight woooooo like a distant vacuum cleaner running. It does it when it idles and im not really sure if it gets any louder with the rpms as i increase speed. it seems constant to me and its not something that was there before. I have a slight front chain rattle from worn guides (hopefully only worn - thats my next big project) but i dont think that would cause the sound. It kinda sounds like a vacuum leak on a device somewhere under the passenger side glove box area. When i listen through the engine bay with the hood open i cant hear anything really. Its only when its quiet like in the morning, warming up. but it does it all the time regardless. The idle is a tad rough but im averaging 19 mpg w/156k miles according to the econ display(prob not accurate), and so if it was a vacuum leak i think it would be running worse than it is so thats why i asked you guys. Its got me stumped. Oh yeah New IAC, btw. Still does it.

Basically you have air trapped in the cooling system. If you let the engine warm up to operating temperature with the radiator cap off, and the heater on, it should pass the air on through. If it were air in the system, it would "burp" and then you would add some coolant to top it off.
