Hey yall
i have a 1998 explorer with the 4.0L efi v6 that has 195, 674 miles on it.
2 weeks ago, i was sitting in the parking lot with the car in drive at idle, not moving. The engine then dies. check engine and check gauge turn on and the oil pressure has dropped to low. I checked the oil (full) and turned the car on again. everything was fine. oil pressure normal. idle normal. no check engine or check gauge light. then yesterday, i was driving put the brake on to make a turn. the engine did the same thing. When i let it sit for 10 minutes and tried starting it, the oil pressure gauge began to go wildly back and forth between high and low. Then engine sounded like the battery was low and then the gauge went back normal and the car started. Check engine light is not burned out because it does turn on when the car turns on. but the car is spitting out the code PO 0455 (large emission system leak?) WHAT THE H@$L IS GOING ON? PLEASE HELP!!
