engine swap blues

Ive got a 96 xlt with seized 4l in it ive got a 79 302 in my garage that would be awesome if i could figure out what adapter from advance adapters, motor mounts, and heard that i need to check the well on the oil pan. Any help would be much appreciated. My wife and i would rather walk than scrap our exploder. Thanx

I just got a 4.0L with "60,000" miles on it for $300.

why not just get a replacement rotating mass, and be done
and have your exploder back...???

emissions inspection?

Does your state have an emissions inspection? Many states that have an inspection would not pass your fuel injected vehicle with a carb engine. A custom exhaust system would probably cost more than a replacement 4.0L OHV V6. I don't know if there any adapters available to mate a 302 with a 5R55E and the transmission probably wouldn't take the extra torque for very long before failing.
