Engine swap will problems

Hi, my friend has recently did an engine swap on his 2005 explorer. He has everthing hooked up but when he turns the key engine wont do anything. He switchd from original motor to a 5.0. Any idea what would cause this?

Best guess, the security system is mismatched between the key, PCM and sensor ring around the ignition switch.

Probably only real option is a tow to the nearest Ford service center to get the keys and PCM talking to each other politely.
