engine swap

Big Question! I have a 2WD 2001 Sport Trac with a 4.0 SOHC engine. Can I replace it with a 4.0 out of a 4WD? I know they are different because of the counterbalance shaft but will it work? Thanks in advance.

yes you can. any SOHC will work. you may have to swap some things over from your old motor to your new motor however
