I want to add a temp gauge since my stock gauge has been getting hot. Ive read the how to's on adding a trans. temp gauge is that the equivalent to adding a temp gauge for the engine? Would one be better over the other? Is there a how to for an engine temp gauge. Ive got all stock and only the idiot lights.

It was really simple on my 94.. By the stat housing are 2 sensors.. The one wire sensor is the one for the gauge.. take it out and screw the sensor in of what ever aftermarket gauge you decide on... I love it, It gives me piece of mind knowing exactly what temps are instead of guessing..

15 minute job on mine

^^^^^What kind of temp gauge did you add? Transmission? Engine? My question is is there an engine temp gauge? since all ive seen in the how to's are transmission gauges. I want to know what the engine temp is so where do i install the gauge? is that what a transmission gauge does?

yes it was for the engine.... a Sunpro was the name of the gauge... 20 bucks
