I cleaned my IAC and MAF. When I reconnected my battery to reset the computer the idle disappeared. It runs well, but it won't idle, it just shuts off. I have to drive with my foot on the accellerator when stopping so the engine doesn't die.
Is there a process when resetting the computer... like keeping it running at 2000rpm for 5 minutes?

Sounds like issues with the IAC.

Yea, it happened to me as well. i just replaced it. ~ 45 bucks at a local part store

Cleaning often does not resolve IAC issues; I just replace it.

Good luck.

Thanx... excellent responses

Thanx everyone for your input.
I replaced the IAC (most expensive, Ford Dealer @ $149 and least expensive AutoZone @ $60.95) it took about 15 minutes. The AutoZone one came with a paper gasket and the Ford Dealer one was a separate item to purchase. I bought the gasket (o-ring style & made of rubber) from the Ford Dealer because the plenum has a recessed groove for this style of gasket.
Once again, Thank You for everyones input.
