I was messing with my truck yesterday (2001 sport trac) trying to see is an AC vacuum supply line leak. I removed the air cleaner housing & outlet tube, unplugged MAF and crankcase ventilation tube (to get to the reservoir globe). I found and fixed a leak in the AC supply line. Put everything back together, but now the engine won't start. Battery and Alt are new. Oddest thing. Can't figure out what I might have done. Any ideas???

Go over everything you removed and might've knoced off/ disconected. More than likely it's something simple. You may have to reset the computer by disconnecting the battery for about 20-30 minutes.

So it's cranking but won't start and stay running?

Yes it's cranking. but won't start. I'll try disconnecting the battery now. Thanks.

OK no luck after disconnecting the battery for 45 min or so. I recall that when I had the air cleaner housing off yesterday, I had run the car for a few min to check if there was vacuum in the AC supply lines. The car started running rough then, so I shut it off. Could this have affected something?
