Per Rebecca from the Ford IVT team I installed the 3.2.2 update from syncmyride and it fixed this problem. MFT seems a bit more responsive after this update and they removed the annoying bong that reminded you 911 dial is disabled even though the reminder option was set to off.

SMH, Peter... We all know guys talk on the phone WAY more than women! LOL
