So, very of few know much about me and my truck but I figure I would share some details in hopes of tracking down a solution to an issue that I have been seeing on and off. Recently I replaced my TPS sensor and things cleared up quite a bit. The issue though, is whenever I have the a/c on, on a hot day I see the trans fluid get up to almost 180 (normal for a 4r55e). I get what I could say is either a shift flare or sloppy lock up, rev up, and lockup of the converter between 45 and 50mph (its the converter, because my livewire turner is telling me I am in 4th). Now, if I turn the a/c off it goes away maybe I feel the lockup more. If I turn off OD I am in 3rd (per livewire) and I get this harsh 4th shift (when a/c is back on), which is the actual converter lockup.
Now given all that and the searches I have done. I have read this may be the following:
-PCM (reprogram and update, which costs $120 since my xploader is 10+yrs old)
-New alternator
-New A/C compressor
the kicker:
I replaced both already (albeit that they were used, they tested fine). I also have pulley chirping at me and can't figure out if the tensioner pulley or the alternator as they both were also replaced (I had a OD pulley on the alternator previously).
Specs: 4r55e, Raysbestos rebuild, delta valvebodies complete vb swap, FTI 2200 stall converter behind a eaton m90.
