So today I was bored and decided I would take out my blower motor and the resistor to see how dirty everything was. Well much to my surprise the evaporator was quite plugged. So I took my air line and blew out and vacuumed what I could.

My question is... Is there an easy way to remove one side of the box around the evaporator to clean it? Or would it be easier to remove it completely to clean it?

Thanks for the help and advice!

anyone have any ideas?

I had to take mine out last summer (the whole evaporator) It took some muscle and had to hold my mouth just right, but I was able to get the inner side of the air box out. There are bolts all the way around it, and some you have to reach from the underside of the car. The inner side and the blower housing seem to be bolted from the inside, behind the dash.

Removing the coil pack and the bracket that holds it on (attached to the exhaust manifold) might make it easier.
