My current problem.I turn the key and the engine will not shut off.I assume its the lock but I figure I better check with you guys first.

I can shut it down but only after choking off the air and disconnecting the battery to reset the electrical.

The running maintenance list
1. Cruise Control inop. Where is the fuse located?
2. AC cycles vents whenever it want to.
3. Idles slightly rough.I got plugs on order

And I have only had the car 2 months.

What year.. Also does it just continue to run for a few seconds or longer?

2004 an will not shut off till I choke off the air even with the key removed.I guess it would run till it ran out of fuel.

Wow thats really interesting.. It may be a ignition issue, maybe the ignition isn't detecting the ground when the key goes to off. Have you contacted your local dealer, this can definately be a safety issue, if the dealer won't help you, I would recommend Ford corporate office and then NHTSA since this a serious safety issue.

I am in Saudi Arabia, I am not sure if we even have a dealership.I need a wiring diagrams.

Does it have a remote start? I'm asking because I'm wondering if there's some kind of short in the remote start module. After you take out the key, have you tried stepping on the brake... this is the kill for the remote start, and I'm wondering if that might kill it for you.

Also, when you turn off the truck and open the door, do all of your electronics go dead like they're supposed to (radio, dash, power windows, AC, etc.)? If they do, that means that it's not a problem with the ignition switch, but somewhere else.

No remote start nor any optional equipment.I have not done any repair nor given it to a shop.

I did try the what you asked. The inside dome light came on and the radio light went off and all other nonessential equipment.I did notice that the ignition switch will turn the light back on when engaged but will not get the starter to reengage.I wonder if the starter has a circuit protection to protect it from damage.

Is there any possibility of getting a scanned copy of the wiring diagrams for the ignition? I have a 2004.

i would try a new ignition key tumbler deal.

good luck.

keep us updated!
