Ex went to the shop today

Despite all my knowledge and know-how, I took the Ex into the shop the morning. The cause, still overheating and broken AC unit. Two very big problems here in AZ. Oh well, I through up my hands and said, beyond me. Nothing else to do but wait and see what the bill will be.

That sucks dude. At least you wont need a belt to hold up your pants since your wallet will be much lighter.

Just let them diagnose it. Then bring it home and you fix it. Saves on labor.

Good luck though. It sucks having a car in the shop.

Get this. My wife has a 2001 new beetle, I drive the 91 Explorer with 150,000 miles.

Her car has been in the shop for repairs and problems 4 or 5 times and it has to go in next monday for more.

Guess how many my explorer has been in the shop???

Sigh, clogged radiator. At least it wasn't a blown head gasket. Get this though, they want to charge $165 to route it. I can get a new Modine Radiator at Napa Auto Parts for $155. Hmm, wonder what I'll do.

My buddy's truck has a clogged radiator, Jeep estimated $150, he took it to a radiator shop and they pressure washed it inside and out for $35. Works like a champ.

Didn't you just have the radiator cleaned? Maybe its really clogged! Anyways I would buy a new radiator, take it home and put it in myself.
