hey guys, just got done finishing the last of the james duff stage two lift for the back of my xlt. are the stock swaybar endlinks too short for a 2.5 in lift? i can rotate the swaybar upward so the endlinks reach the frame, but the angle is pretty extreme. as in, the endlinks are really crooked and the bushings warp. is that acceptable, or will i have to now make my own? i havent got to the front yet but i assume the same thing holds true for the front swaybar as well.

I would recommend you simply remove the rear sway bar. I've been driving nearly two years with out one. I have notice little drivablity changes at all. at least disconnect it and drive around a few days, you'll see.

If you insist on having one, pull one from a second gen. I understand they bolt right up, and offer a stiffer bar.

Agreed 2"is the max before extended links.yes a second gen rear fits right in.i definitely can tell a difference in having mine in and out.for safety just make quick disconnects.

I have a set of super lift rear extended sway bar links new if your interested

ive got a 2nd gen rear axle with discs and matching swaybar. its way thicker than the old 1st gen swaybar. the rear endlinks can pivot upward and they just barely reach the frame, but the front endlinks are what im worried about. parli, what size are those superlift endlinks?

i saw an old post awhile ago about someone made their own adjustable endlinks out of some old tie rod ends...
