Ok, I asked the local custom exhaust place about what they could do for me. I told them i was thinking of 2.5 piping with either a magna flow or flowmaster. he (like Alec had said) said that magna flow will actually improve flow and performance, where with flowmaster it will be mainly more sound. He then said 2.5in was too big, and i said he was probably right. To maintain the back pressure i should just go with 2.25 inches. Next, he says "or if you want I can run duals out the back" If 2.5 is too big, and he advises me on that.... How is he planning to work with duals? Also, I think i want just 2.25 piping, a catback set-up with stock routing and a magnaflow mufler. What kind of muffler do I say i want??? I have an OHV (96), i want a nice rumbly sound, but also the most performance. Do they have series? or just different sizes? I don't want to sound THAT stupid

I say go with the single 2.25". Magnaflow doesn't really have "series" like Flowmaster does, just different sizes. Tell the installer what you want and they'll pick the best Magnaflow muffler for you.

Good luck!

Oh, if you do decide to go with duals it will probably cost more. But, sounds like the guy knows what he's doing and will route and size the pipes well.

psychotic you have the same engine as i do. look for the OHV SOUND CLIP in the "under the hood" forum. that's my engine with a flowmaster 40 series. listen to it and see if that's rumbly enough. ah screw it, here's the link
