exhaust tone ???? FM 40 SERIES

hey guys, i bought a ORIGINAL 40 SERIES FLOWMASTER muffler for my

03' XLS 4.0 v6 ( stock ) - anyone have a youtube clip or something of this particular muffler on there 3rd gen ???

i have checked out youtube for video's but no one is specific about which of the 40 SERIES they are using...


anyone help me out ??????

did u get single or dual 40 series.

i got single in and dual out 40 series flowmasters i dunno which 40 series they are but i love how it sounds.

I got a flowmaster 40 on my 2004 mounty, 4.6L v8.

Sounds amazing............i only found like 1 clip of a v8 explorer with flowmaster on youtube.
Theres a ton of clips of explorers v6 with the FM 40 though...



The only way i can describe it is, its VERY deep and bass-like/aggressive at Start up and Idle.

And it hits a nice sweetspot when I get to around 1600rpms in every gear....usually cruising speed.

Other than that, it sounds pretty deep/rumbly, not raspy at all.
Its not obnoxiously loud generally, but at certain rpms it DOES get pretty noisy, but it still sounds good.



Thats on my 4.6L v8 though....from what ive heard the 4.0 v6's sound pretty close.
