Exhaust triumph!

Just pulled of a fair stroke chaps, my back box has had a small hole since b4 the ford fair meet- I liked the sound so left it- now it has developed into a bark.........I called around and had a quote for £260! Not wanting to pay that I called a well known chain and said I had had a great price of £150 and could they match it as I have had great sevice in the past from them, they agreed!
Its in and I will be going to have it fitted in the morning.
Suggest you try the same on with KF when the time comes chaps.

Yes now you mention, I do remember that- I will stand there and watch whats happening, lucky for me they pair that work there are good, I had a flat once and it was fixed but lost pressure again in days- they took it back kept it for two days and found it was leaking from the rim, they repaired the rim it was corrosion and fitted the tire again, loads of work and no additional charge- I e mailed the headoffice and they sent me a nice letter to thanks me for my compliments and praise- the two guys since then always go out of the way to see me fast and are good to me- If it goes south, I am sure they will fix it, some fitters are just that fitters, these two seem to care- thats rare now!
I will let you know what happens, I will be going there this afternoon. working on a quote and specs at the moment- or sposed to be anyways!

maybe youll be ok ,i had 4 different fitters let loose on mine and i even told them what dunacan said to fix it ,but they were insitant that it wouldnt work and would make it worse,hope its sorted soon ,richard

The result

Well I have been and had it done, took a while as the fitter could not figure how to get the old one off- I told him to take off the rear drop link from the anti roll bar and it went ok after that. No leaks, no rattles and a three year guarantee for £150.........I left a tenner tip- Just had to!

Give it a go- glad I did!

Nah think the goons that put your on never had a clue! I stood by mine and watched what what being done- the two pies that join below the drivers seat where sealed well and clamped also so I know it could not have been a tighter fit.............Lucky I guess thats all!

Well today I gave the Ex a damn good de coke, by nailing the loud pedal a lot! Glad to report all is well and the xhaust held up without, falling off, blowing, or banging!
Think I can put that worry to bed now at last.
Long term I think I will need to get under her and remove the heat shield on one of the cats as I can hear it rattle now and then. Its a metalic noise and I was lucky enough to hold a spanner against it hard when it was up on the ramp the other day.

Que the dremmel- the best tool I ever bought. I use that little beast a lot and never give it its due- Guys and gals if you get one of these you wont be sorry ever!
I bought it years ago and it lived in the shed for ages- till I remembered I had one and then used it for everything from polishing, etching on glass, woodwork, metalwork..................thinking of opening a private dental practice- Massive discount to you guys, well most of you can post the teeth to me for working on ?!Q!!!!!!!!!!!
