- '04 Explorer LTD (4.6)
I have a 2004 Ford Explorer Limited w/ 4.6
1. What size are the stock muffler inlet and outlet.
2. What trans is in my Explorer and does anyone offer a performance trans that I can simply bolt in in place of the stock 125,000 mile unit?
I'd like a performance oriented unit....doesn't need to handle 1000 horsepower...going behind a lightly modded 4-6. needing firm shifts yet still maintain normal factory functions.....I.E. no reverse manual valve body or trans brake or high stall converter. I'll replace the converter as well when replacing the trans but I don't need a 3,000 stall unit for this particular app. Daily drive wanting a much more crisp feel that the sloppy, high flask shifts currently experiencing.
Thanks for your input in advance,
Brad
