Heres a question for you guys. i have a exploer sport v6 4.0 i want to put a flowmaster 50 suv muffler and new pipes. i went to mineke and got a estimate on how much it would cost 2 run dual pipes out the back of my truck with a single muffler. he said i couldnt do it cuz the spare is in the way and so is the shock. kinda depressing =( i can only have a sigle pipe coming out instead and he gave me an estimate of $420 i think he ripped me. the only reason i asked for a estimate is cuz i wanted to run duals but since i cant i could just put it all on by my self but the problem is i dont know where to by the pipe and i dont have a pipe bender. Does anyone know where i can buy prefabricated pipe thats all ready bent for the modle of my trunk.

ps. i want to run new pipes from my cats back i have 2 of them

Go to a speed shop that specializes in exhaust system, lots of people have dual outs
really do's not get you anything except looks and higher cost tho

Sounds like BS to me. I've seen a couple explorers with duals on this site. Also, i had the same done on my Ranger for $120 less than that, so i'd shop around for a smaller shop. To me Meineke seems over priced. But if you want to do it yourself, JC Whitney has a dual kit made by Heartthrob, but i dont know if they make it for the explorer.

yea im 17 to so i think they just up the price becuase of that cuz im a kid and wut do i know.... everything =) jus kiddin. they said i would have 2 loose the spare to do it and i dont wana do that. im hopin someone knows somthin

I had my dual exhaust (off of one muffler) done at a local exhaust shop for about $350. There is a little problem with the spare tire - but it can be done easily. The shock is also in the way, but theres enough room for clearance. Good luck
