Hey all,
Does anyone know what differences there are between a Ranger cat converter and an Explorer one ?
I am speaking specifically about a 4x4 99 Ranger 4.0 OHV and a similar year (or earlier) Explorer.
The part numbers are different but if the difference is just in the mounts or outlet flange I'd be fine. If the inlet and basic shape are the same I'd be very happy. A picture would be cool if someone has one.
My truck failed emissions - I gutted the cat converter about 6 months ago because it was partly clogged. Now I am trying to figure out a low cost alternative and I can get an Expo one cheap. If it fits the spot I'll just use that and a flowmaster or something with a turndown before the rear axle.
