Just wondering what kind of experience everyone has had with thier gauges....I have found cheap ones at procarparts but also I heard that they were poor quality. I'd like opinions on different places to buy the gauges and what type of quality they were.

I bought a pair for thirty bucks on eBay and they're great. They light green or blue at night and look awesome during the day. Maybe I'm not properly looking at all angles, but how could any electro-luminescent guages be poor quality?

Are looking for just plain white face gauges or Indiglo gauges?

Here is link to a write up I did on the installation of my Indiglo gauges.
Dead Link Removed

I purchased mine from Dead Link Removed, shipping was fast and I haven't had any problems with them.

I have NR ones. I beleive thats the company. Its the only ones i could find at the time and they were expensive ($120 i think) they are VERY nice quality and I am very happy with them... except they lit up the 98+ green instead of my 96 Blue/green.....

To fix that I replaced all my dash bulbs with blue bulbs and everything matches perfect now.

I like mine. Check out my link at the bottom to see. Mine are reverse indiglo white face gauges. The dont line up perfectly but its not that noticeable.

AC Autotechnics....found on Ebay seller Autobacs1 $41 shipped

oh and thanks

hey Brandon, if it's not too much trouble, would you mind ripping apart your dash and showing us how you connected the illumination wires & the control knob? BigTig didn't show us a picture of that and I'm very curious how it is done. I am thinking of buying these same gauges now that I finally found the ones for the explorer from them.

The black wire goes to a ground and the red wire is spliced into the white with black stripe wire coming from the light switch. Then plug the gauges into the converter and turn on the parking lights. At this point your gauges should come on.
It's very easy... just follow what wires he tells you to hook up to. Once you get in there it's a piece of cake.

You can see my gauges and how I colored my needles in my sig... I am planning on taking apart my dash in a few weeks because the carbon fiber bezel came unstuck from one side, and I have to fix it. I can take a picture for you then if you wanted to wait....

LOL.....I think most of the work is done for you when you recieve the gauges....its a simple plug-in and its ready to go. I dont think I had to ground from that switch or anything. I think the ground from the gauges covered it. My power source is hooked up in the fuse box. I drilled the small hole in the grey panel and it was done. Sorry I am not much help. If I find a friend with a digital camera then I might take it off and show you some pics. It would be a while though.

Yea I didn't ground the switch either. I just wired the gauges into my parking lights, stuffed the inverter back into the dash, and bam! That was all she wrote.... I can show you a pic of where I mounted my switch too if you'd like.... :D
