can’t help with the direct question....

For a true flush, I’d use a repair facility that has the machines designed to do it.

How many miles are on the trans and how often has the fluid been changed?

Had Ford flush the transmission at 100k.
It's the only work done but still going at 236K.
I too would advise having this done professionally.

Do NOT do this at home...3rd gens have a sealed transmission....take it to a shop to have it done. Do not do a flush if it has a ton of miles on it. My best recommendation is to have a shop that has experience with the 5R55S to do the flush and trans fluid change, or a Ford dealership.

A sealed trans, like yours, is a bit difficult to set the correct oil level on. It takes some experience to get it right. Like the suggestions above probably best to have a shop handle this. I paid $200 for that work here in Northern California
