I resently fixed up a 1994 ford explorer xlt with 139,000 miles, that had been siting for 5 years. It runs great but when I put it in 4 wheel drive low or high it makes clicking noises. It has manual lock in hubs, but they were only about 2 or 3 years old when I parked it. It sounds like the clicking is coming from direcly under the truck. I greased all I could before driving it, including the lock-in hubs. I rarely need 4x4, but its nice when you get stuck in a feild, so any help is apreciated.:navajo:

There is a motor in the transfer case that sticks - there is a description somewhere in this site about how to get it working. Search for "4x4 Troubleshooting", look at the sticky Brown Wire mod and the sticky about rebuilding that motor.
