explorer 96 cruise control is working but light on dash board panel does not work!

explorer 96 cruise control is working but when I turn it on the light on dash board panel does not work!

check the O/LB wire coming from the cruise control / amplifier. It feeds the ground to your instrument panel to turn on your light.

No it doesn come on at all, where can I find the bulb and if it needs to be replaced how much does it cost?

like 3 bucks to replace the bulb. You have to pull the instrument cluster to do that though.

Does the 96 XLT explorer has a cruise control light on the dash to tell you that is is either on/off because mine doesn't?

My 97 has a light that goes on when you set the cruise; just pushing the ON button does not light up the light.
