Hey guys,

quick question. I'm pretty good with trucks and stuff. I am just trying to figure out something. I just bought a Sport Trac (my second one) and the PAssenger side air bag cover has some "cat" scratches on it. I have another Explorer that is my fun vehicle and I want to trade the covers for the Passenger air bags. They are the same color and everything just one is scratched.

How do i do this?

I know messing with the air bag can cause it to trigger and yadda yadda and i don't want to take it to the dealership so please refrain from telling me those two statements.

I know there is a way just everyone seems scared to do it.

Why not just change the whole air bag? It has to be removed from your Trac anyway and I'm not sure you CAN change the cover. i think I threw my blown bag away or I'd dismantle it and see for you. It's no biggie to remove the bag. Disconnect the battery and wait 15 minutes or so for the system to de-power. Then just unbolt it.

CHECK YOUR EMAIL.

so where are the bolts located?

You have to drop the glove box down and reach up into the dash....... I'll send you the instructions.
